Fire doused at Middle Creek
08/17/2008
Vail, CO - The C building of the Middle Creek Apartments in Vail was damaged during a fire early Sunday evening, according to a statement from the Vail Police Department.

The Vail Fire Department responded to multiple 911 calls and a fire alarm at the apartments, located at 145 North Frontage Road, the statement said.

The fire was out by the time crews arrived thanks to a resident with a fire extinguisher and the building’s fire sprinklers, which caused water damage throughout the entire C building of the complex, the statement said. At least one apartment also was damamged by the fire itself, but there were no injuries, the statement said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Sunday night, according to the statement.
